Q#213
This bridge looks funky, but is built to achieve something in particular. What special functionality does this bridge achieve? Ans:HK drives of the right side of the road, like India. China drives on left like the US. This bridge is from HK to mainland China, flips traffic from right to left and vice versa. Well cracked by Dhruv.
The bridge is part of a proposal by NL Architects to connect Hong Kong with mainland China. To do that, they had to solve a problem: In Hong Kong, people drive on the left side of the road. In mainland China, they drive on the right side. Here's the solution: A road flipper that physically twists the roads over each other.
